On our field trip to the pumpkin patch, Jack had his very first "Hug" drink in its little plastic barrel. He was so excited to drink out of it sitting on our picnic blanket, at the top of a hill overlooking the pumpkin farm. It was so much fun, he carted the barrel home in the cup holder of the car. It was devastatingly sad when the barrel tipped over and spilled the last remaining drops of sugary orange drink. We carefully toted the barrel to Mommom's house where we rinsed it out and filled it with another juice to drink. Then we carefully rinsed it out to take back home. And in the car on the way home, I had to pull off the road and call Mommom to double check that she had, indeed, packed the barrel in our bags to take back home.

Oh! I remember those barrel drinks! They used to be a treat when we went to the warehouse grocery store! I'm with Jack; I loved 'em!
I'm they still make those.
What amazes me about the barrel drink is that when you get older it appears smaller. Then you wonder... how could I have only had one of those? Thanks for the cute moment.. :)
At first I thought it was a hand grenade!!!! hahaha Our house overflows with plastic weapons of mass destruction!! When I realised it was a drink container I figured...Small boy would con us into buying him one, tip out the drink and use it ............as a hand grenade!!!! Glad your lad is more sensitive :-)
Hmmm...never seen one of those before! Glad he got a special drink, though. :)
That is too funny! We recently went to an orchard for pumpkin picking and my daughter got a cider in a sipper shaped like an apple. We had the same experience with the "apple cup."
