My Son, Clark

Jack asked me to call him Clark today. He also asked that I call Sarah Baby Clark and, later, Dr. Phil. After laughing at him all day I asked where he got "Clark." He said, "From the Three Fish, Three Fish book." And at bedtime, I asked him to find it for me. He rummaged through his basket of books, "It's in here somewhere..." Then he produced Dr. Suess' One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish. And then he flipped to this page:

This is Clark.

"Look what we found
in the park
in the dark.
We will take him home.
We will name him Clark."

The last page in the book pretty much sums up my life:

"Today is gone. Today was fun.
Tomorrow is another one.
Every day,
from here to there,
funny things are everywhere."
