P&S

Ooh, remember when we all used film cameras and you would forget to get something developed and then much later you'd print the roll and be surprised by what's on there? (Me neither, I've been digital since the dawn of the new millennium, Cue: "In the year two-thousaaaand...")

But, anyway...my point and shoot camera is now the old camera and is still small and portable so it goes with me in my purse or diaper bag. And since I didn't have a card reader connected to my computer and had to trek all the way into the office and fire up the desktop to read a compact flash card, I haven't looked at these pictures since the summer.

Please excuse her shaggy hair, here she is putting at least four different pieces of clothing on one leg.

The potty training reward of the year! Riding the "Scoop" at Chuck E. Cheese. And holding on just like Bob the Builder does.

Couldn't you just eat them up?

I have a whole bunch of other cute videos, but I held the camera sideways. Anybody know how I can turn a video around?

You Know, My Twin, Pappy

The best $1.99 ever spent:

Who knew that a 2 dollar pair of camo flip flops from a bin on the floor of the Children's Place would be so much fun to a three year old boy. Since we bought them Monday, he has worn them all day long in the house, on every trip we've made out of the house, and even to bed Monday night.

The funniest part is that this is the third pair of shoes that are similar to shoes that his grandfather, Pappap, or Pappy, wears. So all day Monday he showed off his shoes and declared, "These are just like Pappy's. You know my twin Pappy?"

Also, he wanted me to take a movie of him singing with his new shoes:

(Notice the prominent "dancing" of the shoes) (Oh, and the pause to remind me to "take a movie of I'm singing")
I could eat him alive.

Blah and Blah

I really don't have anything exciting to post today. I mean, I could do another lengthy description of our potty training progress and setbacks, but, really, I bore myself just thinking about it. What is kind of interesting in an "EW" sort of way is that I had to climb up into the McDon@ld's play equipment and clean up my son's pee. Sadly, this is the second time I've had to do that, the first was last week in Chik-Fil-@.

So, I'm knee-deep in toddler sticker charts and prizes, pee and changing clothes; a grumpy girl who is dead set against weaning in a quiet, polite, don't-wake-the-neighbors way.

I also have nothing to write about because I'm constantly playing my part in Sarah's new favorite game:

(She didn't fall at the end of this, she's really good at climbing and balancing, I'm the one who is afraid of the steps.)

Next week I declare MEME Week! I have neglected at least three memes, possibly even more that my blog friends have kindly tagged me for. I am going to dig back through and find those tags. I really need to step it up so that they will still like me! (If you tagged me for something and I may have forgotten, please leave me a comment or an email reminding me.)

Note for family and folks who are not familiar with the bloggety lingo (i.e. Mom): A meme is a blog game that is sent around to friends on the internet to learn fun things about each other, give ideas to write about and have fun with. I have previously done one (shamefully, only one) here.

Boy, Do I Love This Boy

In a rare appearance, Jack willingly, excitedly sang some songs for me to record. With the promise that he could watch them, he sat down and sang beautifully. Sarah was a great audience, clapping and dancing along. She signed "more" during the ABCs and helped with the motions to Itsy Bitsy Spider.

My heart may burst from all this cuteness.

"Weeee!"

Sarah has added a new word to her vocabulary. As she climbs the slide she babbles, "da, da, da, da." And then on the slide down, it's, "weeee!"

I'm One Now!

And my mom has been dying to do this to my hair!

This is what we've been working on in the long blog absence:

"Hi"

Hands free

Now, with videos!

Please ignore my singing of The Itsy Bitsy Spider. In fact, just watch it with your computer on mute. When the spider gets washed out, Sarah makes her sign for "all done."
